Fans of Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim can rejoice as the creators of the popular show Robot Chicken have announced a summer of fun with their Robot Chicken on Wheels ‘09 Tour. Seth Green, Breckin Meyer and Matthew Senreich will be hosting Robot Chicken skate parties at roller rinks from coast to coast.


Special guests will undoubtedly pop up at each venue, and the tour will feature live music performances by Gym Class Heroes.


Here’s a list of the upcoming tour dates:

• August 1st – Los Angeles
• August 2nd – Las Vegas, NV
• August 4th – Boulder/Denver, CO
• August 6th – Kansas City, MO
• August 8th – Indianapolis, IN
• August 10th – Richamond, VA
• August 12th – Philadelphia, PA
• August 14th – New York, NY

The first event from the tour was held on July 25th in San Diego in conjunction with the San Diego Comic-Con festivities. The likes of Boba Fett, Slave Leia and Biker Scouts were seen skating and dancing for the crowds. Check out the video below:

Matt Shell, Senior Marketing Manager for Lucasfilm, informed fans during the Star Wars Spectacular panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2009 that this fall would see the release of several expansions for the video game ‘Star Wars The Force Unleased’.

First in line will be the Tatooine Pack, which will land players on the desert planet of Tatooine. Their mission – merely to kill Obi-Wan Kenobi (no small task!) They’ll almost surely encounter several classic Star Wars villains along the way, including Boba Fett and Jabba the Hutt.

But possibly even bigger news is the release of the new Ultimate Sith edition of the game, which will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Mac. The Ultimate Sith Edition will include the original game, an earlier downloadable mission which takes place on Coruscant, the Tatooine Pack and a new exclusive mission set on the ice planet Hoth. The central task of the Hoth mission – killing Luke Skywalker! Wow… this game will clearly push the boundaries of the Star Wars universe to places it has never gone before.

January 26, 2010 will see the release of a new novel from Del Rey Books titled Star Wars: Crosscurrent. Written by Paul Kemp, the novel will tell the story of Jedi Knight Jaden Korr, who uncovers a Sith ship which has travelled through time, bringing with it some nearly invincible Sith warriors.


Talented artist Dave Seeley created the cover art for the novel and has revealed it in the publishing gallery on his website. Fans may recall that Seeley also recently handled the cover and back art duties on the popular Star Wars novel Battle of Mindor for Del Rey.
